A new business idea must be presented in a 4-page paper (1100 words). I HAVE TWO IDEAS ON WHAT THE PROJECT CAN BE ON: 1. I care about my health and nutrition very much. I am conscious of and care about what I put into my body. Unfortunately, I have a very busy schedule and I cannot afford the time to cook healthy meals at home very often. Often times, I eat on the go. I feel guilty about it, but I do not have another choice many times with my schedule and the choices that are presented out there. What I discovered is that there are no places to get a convenient, quick and healthy meal. There are plenty of unhealthy choices, but virtually no health ones. I’ve heard similar complaints from other people. I think opening up a place where people can get nutritious, healthy and quick meals will be a successful one and a very unique selling point. Possibly, first opening up a test location in a major city near a popular gym in hopes to grow it into a chain one day. OR 2. The US FDA is having a campaign against trans-fat. It has been on the news a lot. Following a gluten-free trend, many bakeries opened and became popular that were only gluten-free. Perhaps, a non trans-fat and gluten-free bakery would be a nice topic for this assignment. PLEASE USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT TO DETERMINE WHICH ONE WOULD BE BETTER. THE PAPER MUST COVER ALL OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS: Paper will focus on these four elements. 1. Problem – What is the pain? 2. Solution – How do you take away the pain? What is your value to customers? 3. Business Model – the money path: from who will pay you, to distribution, gross margins, etc. 4. The Secret Sauce – your strategic, professional or technical advantage. Numbers three (3) and four (4) must be paid close attention to and done very well. IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS PROJECT FROM THE CUSTOMER: I am not sure what is the best way to go about the sources. I am not certain whether or not sources are needed or are appropriate for this type of assignment (maybe with some of the technical details?). Please use your own best judgment in regards to sources. I have put 1 source as default, but please feel free to use as many as needed. But, if sources are used, everything must be cited in the work and in the bibliography properly. If sources are used, it will be closely paid attention to. For example, perhaps in order to figure out the money path, it will be necessary to use an example of business who is in a similar industry, and then sourcing will be appreciate for that.
