hours of study time for every hour of class time. You
will receive 100% for your learning portfolio if you

1. All topics labeled. Each topic studied will be
appropriately labeled.

textbook)

terms will be defined in your learning
portfolio

explain how you went about memorizing the
vocabulary terms. For example: Did you make
flash cards? Did you write it multiple times?
Did you write a song? And importantly, how is
this working for you? If you used flash cards,
this must be part of your learning portfolio.

sides of an 8x 11 page for each class (flash
cards count). You should have approximately 10
entries (1 per class) that clearly demonstrate
how you studied for this class. Do not include
class notes in your learning journal. Class
notes do not count.
10. Overall appearance of your Learning
Portfolio. This portfolio should demonstrate
that you studied for this approximately 75
hours (which is about two fulltime workweeks
worth of at-home focus) for this class. The
portfolio should be neat, well organized, and
each entry should be dated. Your portfolio will
be handed in at the end of the semester.
Due date. Your learning portfolio is due the
second to last day of class. (Check the college
academic calendar for the exact date.)
The cumulative final will assess your mastery
of the entire course.
