to prove someone wrong. The point is to open a
space for new insight into the literature. This may
mean agreeing with the critic in certain claims/details
or perhaps looking to present counter-evidence at
another point. The point of this paper is to develop a
thesis that responds critically to what some other
published professional states. Maybe, the critic is
mistaken, and you will prove it. Always, these papers
create new knowledge.
