nstructions: This discussion focuses on naming conventions of medical terms.  This information is beneficial in learning more about word roots, modifiers, and word origins.  This will help lay a foundation for exploration of other body systems and will help strengthen skills in learning and associating terms and definitions. Answer the following: Select one bone and one muscle from this unit. More complicated names provide better opportunity for exploration.  Make every effort to avoid duplicating structures selected by others.  Translate the bone and muscle names. Provide rationale for the translation of the bone and muscle.
