The facility is divided into a number of departments including the following:

8. Women’s Health (Combining OB/GYN Services)

Mountain Gem Healthcare currently utilizes an electronic health record, and has done so for the last 6 months. The HIM Department is comprised of three separate sections:
1. Clerical (Including activites such as ROI, Scanning/Indexing, and Record Completion)
2. Coding/Abstracting

-Development of a hospital vision statement which meets the criteria set forth in the lecture for chapter 4. (4 Points)
-Development of a set of values statement for the hospital which meets the criteria set forth in the lecture for chapter 4. Two values should be espoused. (3 Points per Value)
-Development of an HIM Department vision statement using the same guidelines as listed above. (5 Points)
-Development of an HIM Department mission statement using the same guidelines as listed above. (5 Points)
