Journal Entry 4
Pick 1 Topic Question
1. A & P (Updike 437): What does Sammys description of the shoppers in the A & P as sheep and houseslaves tell us about him? Does his judgment seem fair or biased? Additionally, how did his description and admiration differ from the shoppers to the girls in the A & P? Use at least one citation to support your claim.
2. Boys and Girls (Munro 400): How might this story be different if it did not end with the horses? More importantly, what do you think the horses symbolize? How do you know? Use at least one citation to support your claim.
