Students should prepare a 3-4 page description of an online campaign they have been monitoring since the beginning of the semester. This assignment requires you to have subscribed to an online campaign of any sort early in the semester. After spending several weeks receiving online updates, action alerts and newsletters; reading blogs and social media content; and signing petitions from the campaign, students should assess the campaign’s digital communications efforts. What were the campaign’s apparent or stated objectives? Do you think they were successful in meeting those objectives? What did the campaign do particularly well? In what areas could the campaign have improved? Evidence your claims with specific examples of content.
Grading Criteria
You will be evaluated on how well they:
Articulate the strengths and weaknesses of the identified campaign’s digital communications efforts.
Provide clear examples of the campaign’s content and an assessment of the effectiveness of that content.
Organize their thoughts and present a well-organized paper that adheres to the specified page limits.
Adhere to writing conventions, including ensuring their paper is free of grammatical and typographical errors, incorrect spelling and verbose language.
