This week, you will write a Descriptive Essay of 3 or more paragraphs. Include an introduction, at least one body paragraph, and a conclusion. Be sure to read this week’s lecture and Chapter 6 on “Descriptive Writing” in Ticket to Write before beginning.
By Tuesday, July 25, 2017, post your rough draft in the Discussion Area. Copy and paste your draft into the response section. Do not include an attachment. Then, by Wednesday, July 26, 2017, offer helpful comments on at least two of your classmates drafts.
Your goal with this essay is to paint a picture with words. By using sensory details, you can make a scene come alive for your reader. The descriptive details you choose to include (what you see, hear, taste, smell, feel, etc.) will result in a vivid reading experience.
