Artist Research Paper I plan to write about Vincent Van Gogh and exploring how depression/ anxiety Influenced his artwork – Cheap Homework Help

Description

EVERYTHING ISINCLUDED FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT TO COMPLETE IT Based on the feedback I provided to you about your proposal, you will now put together an introduction (with thesis statement), and outline and list at three scholarly sources.  Introduction:   Write a draft introduction paragraph for your final paper that tells the reader what the paper is about (i.e. introduce your theme).  Remember this is not a biography paper, so your introduction should go beyond “we will explore the art and life of X X artist.”  What is the angle, or the major idea bout the artist (or artwork) that you are exploring?   Your introduction should be no less than four complete statements, but will likely be more than this. Outline:  For your outline, you should have a least three – four major points, and several supporting points.  Your outline points should be full statements – sentence fragments are okay – but your outline should be more than just a word or two as your topic bullet point. Resources:  Finally, you should list at three of the sources you plan to use to write your final paper.  These should be listed in APA format.  Remember that Wikipedia it not a scholarly source – so do not include that. Please see this example of how to structure this assignment: Introduction – 4pts. Outline –  8 pts. Sources – 3 pts.

Artist Research Paper – Proposal

For this project, students will research any artist of their choice from the 1700s to the present.  Remember, this is not a ‘biography’ paper – there needs to be a focus beyond just details of the artist’s life and art.  Make sure you are clearly identifying your theme in this proposal.

For your proposal, prepare a document that includes:

  1. The artist you plan to write on
  2. The art historical movement in which they were a part of – and one or two statements about the general style of that movement
  3. At least one art work that you plan to analyze that supports your idea/theme
  4. What is the theme of your paper ( include a minimum of 3 sentences) – what do you plan to explore that is specific about this artist’s work?  (Key: This should not just be about their life and work – but something specific to explore)

Proposal

For my Artist Research Paper I plan to write about Vincent Van Gogh and exploring how depression/ anxiety Influenced his artwork. Van Gogh’s style was inspired by works of Impressionists and Neo-Impressionists, as well as George Seurat’s Pointillist compositions. Through the inspiration of those Paris artists’ harmonious colors’ matching, shorter brushstrokes, as well as liberal paint use, he resulted in brightening his palette and loosening his brushwork, stressing the physical paint application on the canvas. An example of Van Gogh’s artwork that can be related to depression is “Starry Night.” This artwork is an oil-on-canvas painting that he created in 1889 (Van Gogh Museum, n.d). Vincent Van Gogh had a severe mental illness that was untreated and most likely unknown about during that time frame and later he committed suicide. Although treatment is now available it is known (or thought) do suppress some creativity. This paper is focused on his success through working with his mental illness and becoming a famed artist.

TEACHER FEEDBACK ABOUT THIS TO INCLUDE IN ASSIGNMENT

Kraig – Thank you for your submission. Your artist, Van Gogh, is approved and you correctly identified him as part of the Post-Impressionist movement. It sounds like your theme is to see how his mental illness influenced his work to positive aesthetic results? Make sure to clarify that by your Intro/Outline/Sources assignment. -Miss V
