PERSONALITY CONCEPTUALIZATION PAPER Students will be asked

to work in small groups to write a 4-5 page double-spaced case

PERSONALITY CONCEPTUALIZATION PAPER Students will be asked to work in small

why the case can best be conceptualized along your chosen theory lines. Specific

This is an opportunity for you to apply what you have been learning about theories of
personality to a clinical case, and explore how various theoretical approaches might be
appropriate to the case at hand.
Using one of the cases provided, please describe the presenting complaints of the client,
and how the clinical issues would be viewed according to the psychodynamic,
humanistic and cognitive-behavioral schools of thought. Please provide a rationale
about which theory you think best fits the case, and how the case might be approached
from that perspective. Please identify an appropriate intervention stemming from your
chosen theory for the identified patient in the case, explain how it would be
administered, and what benefits the patient/client might expect to have. Make sure you
include research evidence for the use of this theory and intervention with the particular
client population you are using. Also, please list any contraindications or limitations of
the approach with this population. Please use at least (3) scholarly sources. APA style
required.
**Note: scholarly sources are articles that come from scientific/academic journals.

Papers are worth 100 points of your grade. Each group member will receive the same
grade. Groups are responsible for notifying the instructor of any difficulties in the group
process so that corrections can be made in time.
Papers will be assessed through the attached grading rubric.
