Valencia College Ch 2 Community Safety Guidelines Project in this project, you will be
formatting a safety report from the Winter Springs Community. You will be updating the font,
font size, and line spacing for the entire document. You will remove unnecessary line breaks
and apply styles. You will modify paragraphs by changing alignment, applying shading, and
adjusting the space that appears before and after the paragraphs. You will then copy that
formatting and paste it to other text using the Format Painter tool. You will apply
character formatting and change the case of text. Finally, you will convert text to both a

Open the start file
WD2019-ChallengeYourself-2-3. The file has been automatically renamed to
include your name. Only change the project file name if directed to do so.
If the document opens in Protected View, enable editing so you can make changes to the
document.
Change font on the entire document to Times New Roman and the size to
14 pt.

Change the line spacing on the entire document to 1.15 line spacing.

Display the formatting marks for the document and delete all the extra blank lines
between paragraphs in the document including the extra blank line at the end of the
document. When you are finished, hide the formatting marks.
Apply the Title style to the first line of text in the document.
Change the font size to 26 pt.
Center the title.
Apply the Heading 1 style to the text INTRODUCTION.

Apply the Gray, Accent 6, Lighter 80% shading to the section heading.
It is the last option in the second row of the gallery.
Change the spacing before the paragraph to 18 pt. and the spacing
after to 6 pt.

Use the Format Painter to apply the formatting of the first section heading to
the other two section headings in the document (Most Targeted Electronic Devices
and Guidelines For Staying Safe).
Use the Change Case tool to change the title text to
Uppercase.
Select the text basic safety procedures in the first paragraph and
underline the text.
Select the text Winter Springs in the first paragraph and
italicize the text.
Select the text most targeted in the second paragraph and bold
the text.
Select all the five targeted electronic items in the Most Targeted Electronic
Devices section (from Smartphones to Laptop computers). Apply the
1), 2), 3) number format to the text.
Select all the lines in the Guidelines For Staying Safe section (from
Avoid walking to reflective clothing). Apply the black
square bullet style.
Select the items in the numbered list and increase the indent of the list by one level.

Select the items in the bulleted list and increase the indent of the list by two
levels.
Place the cursor at the beginning of the numbered list (before the word
Smartphone). Change the spacing before the text to 18 pt.

Place the cursor at the beginning of the bulleted list (before the word
Avoid). Change the spacing before the text to 18 pt.
Save and close the document.
Upload and save your project file.
Submit project for grading.
