INTRODUCTION
This class presentation is a term project that highlights practical applications of electromagnetic fields.
This project is worth 10% of your overall course grade. You will submit a written report (80% of your score), and
make a short presentation (20% of your score), on your selected topic.
You have two options to complete the term project:

Option 2 – Video Presentation Option: You are required to submit a written report and create a video

REQUIRED Selection of Report Topic and Format – You must submit your topic selection and format (presentation
or video) by updating a spreadsheet posted on canvas (see announcements) before class on Monday, November
06. Starting on this date, there will be a 5-point reduction for each day beyond the submission deadline that the
project selection is delayed. Only one student will be allowed to select a given topic, and topics will be approved
on a first come – first served basis (I suggest you select your topic at the first possible opportunity). Approval
status will be updated on the spreadsheet.

Reports must be typed (word processor) using 12 point Times New Roman font.
A title and your name must appear at the top of the first page.
Use double spacing and 1” margins on all sides.
5 page minimum excluding references (of these 5 pages, no more than 2 pages of illustrations/figures).
All illustrations/figures should be located at the end of the report and have appropriate captions or titles,
and each must be referenced within the body of the report. You can cut/paste figures if needed.
? References to a book, article, news story etc. must be indicated by a number in brackets within the body of
the report, and the full reference given at the end of the report (see example on following page). You must
use (not just list) at least two references.
