Make sure it is a real social innovation and not simply an invention that accrues profit for a small number of people. But it also doesn’t have to be a technology that changes the world. The social innovation you choose must have resulted in greater resilience for the planet and communities of people. Look at system disruptions and see the ideas and processes that address that disruption. In detail, explain how the innovation solves the issue you’ve outlined. Discuss the challenges that must be overcome and limits of this solution. explain how the innovation works. What does it do? Who and what benefits from it? What are the limits of the innovation? What are the challenges to scaling it up, out, and down? Is there any untapped potential? Are there any unintended consequences? What was/is key to realizing or implementing this innovation?
