I would also like to use the same writer for my annotated bibliography that will used in conjunction to this research paper. You’ll have two options here for a research paper format. Both will also involve a presentation to the class, scheduled sometime during the last 3 weeks of the semester. The options are: 1.      Research Paper: This paper should be based on a challenging and compelling question/exploration requiring critical thinking, sustained and intelligent criticism, and a logical/relevant conclusion. OR 2.      An Action Research Paper: Here, you’ll identify an issue or problem of practice that will guide your research project and help you develop research questions. Next, you’ll develop background knowledge with a review of the literature. Using your annotated bibliography, you’ll provide background and context to explain why your research is necessary and important. Finally, you’ll create a plan for your classroom research, designed to address the issue you’ve identified. You should include all your procedures, including proposed methods of data collection. Criteria for either paper will include: Clear & debatable thesis/problem of practice Fully developed/supported ideas Clear organizational structure Effective use of opposing viewpoints Credible sources Appropriate attribution of sources Consideration of a target audience Conventional grammar/mechanics (appropriate to scholarly writing)
