Make sure to explain why and how so in each body paragraph. What are some practices or ideas suggested by Maats and O’Brien that students (like you) can learn and apply to succeed in school? Make sure to explain why and how so in each body paragraph. In what ways can practicing emotional self-management bring students success? (This question will require the synthesis of both The Straight-A Conspiracy and “Practicing Emotional Self-Management”) Hint: Each body paragraph should focus on either a single action, practice, and/or idea. Make sure to recontextualize all points made to the thesis Each body paragraph shall discuss one specific idea or concept. You should include at least one direct quote as evidence, and you may use personal examples as well to support the impact of the discussed idea or concept. First-person and second-person singular/plural pronouns (e.g. I, me, my, you, your, our, we, us) may be used for this essay (and only this essay!) without point deductions. Any form of plagiarism will result in your essay earning a 0% and my submitting an Academic Dishonesty report.   How to cite in an essay: In general, refer to the writers’ last names for in-text citation after their first mention in TAG (refer to TS/IS chapter 3).
