Running Head: No Child Left Behind Act
Introduction
The exiting of President Bush from power has left a number of legacies, with some being hailed, while others such as the military intervention in Iraqi remaining ancillary to criticism. Among those that have earned accolades include the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act which was signed into law by George W. Bush in 2001. According to the US Congress, the Act also known as the Nicklebee, was passed so that it accords all the American children equal, fair and significant extent of opportunities that would help this target group possess a certain standard of academic proficiency. However, despite the carrying out of the accountability standards as the benchmark of NCLB, damning reports such as the AYP Report continue to compel people to revisit the prospects of the Act being benevolent.
