Introduction
By the virtue of being a nurse who has sufficient professional training, skills and the required knowledge I am placed at a better stance to serve as a health visitor. I am a qualified mental nurse who has worked with several health centers and communities that support the mental health program initiatives. While pursuing my studies at the university on mental health, I worked as a part time mental health nurse an opportunity that gave me an earlier exposure in the field. The training program instilled various elements that are cardinal for the program such as community practice, public health, counseling, social policy and health promotion (Thom, 2011).
