Associating is finding unexpected connections between two objects or concepts that are not usually paired.
Questioning is asking probing questions that provoke further thought. These questions may lead to thoughts that can better
a concept you already are working on or even create entirely new ideas.
Observing helps look for anomalies that you can use to innovate. Observing might include putting yourself in different
environments, watching people interact with products and services, and viewing the workarounds that people are currently
using to complete tasks.
Networking is interacting with different people to gather new insights and ideas that you might not have thought of by
yourself. This is especially effective when the people are from diverse backgrounds.
Experimenting may include trying new experiences, disassembling items, and testing your ideas through prototypes. It
helps generate data to make your ideas successful.
