Pick one of the following topics to research & write a 1-2 page paper about. You must use supporting information from references such as your textbook and CREDIBLE internet sources (should be peer-reviewed journals, scholarly articles, etc.; please DO NOT use Wikipedia, simplypsychology, about.com, or other similar sites). Discuss the prevalence of mood disorders in subgroup differences in prevalence rates (eg. Gender, race etc). 2. Describe criteria for diagnosing major depressive disorder and the subtypes. 3. Describe who is likely to attempt suicide and who is likely to complete suicide and why (provide prevalence among racial, gender, socioeconomic statuses, etc.).
