Introduction
It has been identified that the Hispanic community which constitute forty million people in the United States, have the highest percentage of individuals facing health related problems. Centers for Disease Control (2004), states that, the highest percentage of people experiencing overweight problems is Hispanic. However, amongst this group, the highest rate of overweight amongst the Hispanic community is the Mexican Americans, aged between 20 and 75 years. This group of overweight individuals from Mexican Americans comprises of 26% female, and 11% males. This implies that, more Mexican American females are suffering from obesity, as compared to their male counterparts. This implies that, U.S is facing racial health disparities. This might be as a result of various factors including lifestyle behaviors, social environment, economic status, and accessibility of health center. However, amongst the Mexican American individuals, this obesity and health disparities to the level of physical activities, education levels, ethnic discrimination, cultural issues influence, and the environment in which they are living.
