* Note this paper is going to take more than 1 page. Think creatively and have fun with
it.
1.) Think creatively and describe a mini-short story, newspaper article, Twitter post, Facebook
Ad/post, or any social media platform, as you wish, to tell something about Jesus who is born in
21st century or likewise the same means, if he died today. Pick one either the birth or death.
2.) Why did you choose to describe his birth/death the way you did as well as, what does that
say about the hearers of your paper, post, tweet, etc…

Imagine and construct a contemporary situation for Jesus that parallels the social and historical
analysis of the biblical text.
Questions to help construct your story
What does Jesus wear? How does he talk? Where does he live and travel? What does he do?
What geographical place would he be living in (urban, rural, uptown, downtown)? Whom does
he visit? Who are his friends, family, and enemies? What kinds of things does he preach? What
contemporary issues might be addressed? Where is he born or died? By what means is he killed
today? (Remember you are translating his being to the 21 st century period)
