You can use notes, books, library, internet etc. as sources, but I am NOT looking for a research paper. I am looking for your UNDERSTANDING of the topic that you know what you are talking about, that
you provide reasons for your positions, and that if you use facts, you are accurate. If you paraphrase or quote use footnotes.
Here is the Essay Question: All semester you have been studying different cultures ways of understanding the "meaning of life". In what ways have your understandings of the "meaning of
life" been changed because of the systematic study of world religions?
Hint: Use the format, "Before the class I thought but now I think". Draw some insight(s) from each religion. The key to this essay is to remember that I am looking for major shifts in thinking, not
merely what "new facts" you learned. I am looking for "reflection". Ex. I do NOT want you to tell me WHAT I told you in class, but HOW what I told you CHANGED your
understanding of life, yourself, etc. I do not want a summary of facts, but a recording of how the facts influenced your thinking.
AIDitional Formatting:
1. All work must be typed using Times New Roman 12 point font. Double spaced.
2. Indent one tab for each new paragraph.
3. Spell/grammar check.
4. No paragraph can be longer than 6 sentences.
