I’m trying to study for my Geography course and I need some help to understand this question.

Carefully examine the distribution of the Hispanic population of the U.S. in 1940 (Figure 1) and 1970 (Figure 2). Compare the two maps and answer the following questions:

1. Which three states had the highest Hispanic populations in 1940?
2. Which three states had the highest Hispanic population in 1970?
3. By 1970, what is the only east coast state that had a Hispanic Population of more than 500,000?
4. Describe the change in the distribution of the Hispanic population of the U.S. between 1940 and 1970?

Note: you don’t need to write too much for each question. Enough words to answer full parts of questions is okay.
