2. Why are coral reefs an important aquatic ecosystem? What is predicted to happen to coral reefs if current emissions trends continue? How does the temperature of water affect the function of corals? (i.e. explain coral bleaching). Explain how coral reefs support aquatic ecosystems.
3. What can happen when CO2 dissolves in water? What is expected to happen if CO2 emissions continue at the current rate? What is most significant about the rate in which CO2 is currently entering the atmosphere? Why is this rate concerning? Should these consequences be of concern? Explain
