Michael Hudsons main idea in writing the article is to expose the reason as to why the global economic crisis was experienced and further why he squarely blames it on the subprime mortgage lenders in the US. This has been effectively realized by the reader as Hudson offers direct speeches of main stakeholders in the industry and of how much they not only engineered but also maintained the lending frauds that led the world economy into unending problems.
Hudson starts off the reader by using Glover (a new employee at Ameriquest Mortgage) who directly introduces the reader to the deep irregularities in the mortgage industry. The coworker that Glover is describing is literally forging a signature for a potential client so that a loan can be easily secured. He goes a head to explain to the reader that it was an obvious trend at Ameriquest since at the end of the month all the employees in the company literary from the loan officers, the regional managers, the vice president and even the low ranked staff did all they could to ensure that they had as many loans as possible fixed before the deadline was approached. This was for their satisfaction and the satisfaction of Ronald Arnall.
