ASSIGNMENT- TECHNOLOGY AND DEVIANCE DISCUSSION FORUM

Select a form of technology that you are interested in and discuss how it is related to social control. Examples could include, cell phones, GPS, use of drones, traffic red light cameras, body cameras worn by police officers, etc.

Discuss how this form of technology could have the potential for deviance in our society.

Discuss the three (3) pros and three (3) cons of the selected technology

Discuss and analyze the types of social control (i.e.formal, informal, positive, negative) and social consequences that exist with this technology

Apply a sociological theory that best explains the advantages or disadvantages of your technology selection.
