Need help with my Film question – I’m studying for my class.

Required reading materials (can be found online): Shelley Rigger, Why Taiwan Matters: Small Island, Global Powerhouse (New York: Rowman, 2011);

Emilie Yeh and Darrell Davis, Taiwan Film Directors: A Treasure Island (New York: Columbia UP, 2005);

This commentary (approximately 1000 words) should be precise and concise, in providing substantial arguments about how the films go after (appropriate and respond to) the empires – Japanese colonialism, Chinese cinema or Nationalist Party’s film policy, and Hollywood film industry or world market.
