I dont understand this Political Science question and need help to study.
You will be asked to defend one of three possible positions:
Position 1: Ask the United States and Japan for support to go to war with China.
Position 2: Negotiate with China some form of joint enterprise in which the claimants agree to co- develop and share the resources and establish an independent, or at least multilateral, policing authority.
Position 3: Accept Chinas overwhelming power, give up claims over the South China Sea and become a strong Chinese ally in exchange for guarantees of sustained trade benefits.
