Americans fear death less than they fear the process of dying. Drawing on the textbook material and the four dvds narrated by Bill Moyers, write an essay on what is necessary for a “good” death. While we rarely think of death as “good” the point made in the dvds is that efforts are currently being made to make dying less difficult. In your paper you need to cover the factors that contribute to a “good death”. What is necessary to give patients the best care? How can we insure that decision-making rests with the patient? What part does communication play? What do we often do out of love and concern that actually makes dying more difficult?

You must use the following outline for your paper and indicate which point you are covering by the appropriate heading. When aIDressing the following points include material from THE LAST DANCE and material from the dvds. Unless I see evidence from BOTH sources the paper will be awarded NO CREDIT.
