I need help with a Sociology question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.

Write a paper that states your position in regards to which social institution (chapters 4-8 of the iBook) is most responsible for the remembrance of genocide.

A few questions to keep in mind when writing your paper could include: Why is the institution of ______ best suited for helping the retention of memory? How? (Keep in mind both the latent and manifest functions of the institutions) Why are other institutions not as effective? You must provide specific examples as to how these institutions are used in post-genocidal states and their role in society (for this, you will need to do outside research!).

Recommended Content Structure:

• Introduction with a thesis that outlines your specific position (1 paragraph)
• Brief application of theory to the causes of the genocide (1-2 paragraphs) — This section should outline the causes of genocide as explained through the theoretical framework of Conflict Theory.
• Position and explanation regarding which institution you deem best in memorializing genocide and why (Bulk of your paper).
• Reasons as to why other institutions are not as effective (1-2 paragraphs)
• Conclusion (1 paragraph)

Recommended Length: 4-5 pages. APA Format. Times New Roman, 12pt Font. At least three (3) academic sources needed. You must submit via Canvas.
