Identify important social forces at work which explain your own time in school during your formative years. We have been discussing these theories during the semester. Apply one of these theories to a personal incident as it applies to some part of your education. Conclude with an analysis and explanation of your own life experiences and life chances through the sociological lens of the sociological theory or perspective you think best applies to your situation. Consider your own life in school and begin to place your own history within the larger context of broad historical changes, local communities, states, nations, debates and theories about educational policies and practices. You might consider technological changes, political forces, popular culture, etc. during your time in school.
