This semester we have focused on various ways that technology and the digital world impacts our daily life.

When we began to look at online activism or slacktivism, we encountered the question – does online activism

work? With this question at the centre of our focus, we will begin to look at specific issues and come to a

judgement as to if online activism has worked, or not.

Introduction

Choose an online campaign that was started to bring about change in some sort of way. Think of something

that you care about and that you have followed in the news or would stop to read about … or post about. This

issue should still be a relevant one that has online activity.
