Public Service Announcement Health Education Assignment -Your PSA must be designed to entice 8th to 9th grade students (13 to 16 years old) to major in health education.You must utilize best practice for PSA and include information that would make these students excited to join our major (Health Education).-The Scoring Rubric which we must follow is uploaded below … -I need a really creative picture with creative words explaining why the “Health Education” or Health” in general is important include: name, phone number and email in the end of the designed picture. This assignment requires you to combine the information from the PSA lesson and the Settings Lesson.
You have two options.
1. You may work alone to create a print PSA.
2. You may work with one other person to create a 30-second A-V PSA.
Each of these has slightly different scoring rubrics.
Your PSA must be designed to entice 8th to 9th grade students (13 to 16 years old) to major in health
education. You must utilize best practice for PSA and include information that would make these
students excited to join our major. You need to use the settings lesson and other material we may have
gone over throughout earlier lessons in the semester.
Print PSA-you must use a program that goes across all platforms (eg Adobe) or use a MS product. MS
products would include Power Point, Publisher, Word. Another program that would work is Canva.
There are other products you can use as long as they are readable across platforms. If you use a
program that doesn’t open or cannot be read you will receive a zero (0). You will not have a second
opportunity to submit.
A/V PSA- your document/artifact must be in mp4 format. It takes a while to upload mp4 into BB, so you
could also save it to a site and then provide the link to the site. If you provide a link—make sure it works
because if it doesn’t you will receive a zero (0) and you will not have a second opportunity to submit.
You must have a reference sheet (separate from the actual PSA) that gives the links for where you
obtain your graphics. Make sure you cite them correctly and use APA format
NOTE: using another ad’s phrase or idea would constitute plagiarism and result in a zero.
Examples of plagiarism (this is not all inclusive)•
Using the slogan “Be all you can be….” With your topic would be plagiarism because that is a
slogan used in prior ad campaigns.
