Description

Write a Self-Reflective Speech that includes 3-5 topics that analyze and offer your insights about one of more of the questions below: Please make an outline based off of these questions and I will attach the comments my teacher have made about my videos I have posted. Attached is an outline example I want you to follow. What were the most valuable skills you learned in this course?  Why? How did your presentation skills improve in this course?  Consider audience analysis and adaption, formulating communication goals, research, analysis, integration of evidence and sources, selecting a logical structure, writing and outlining presentations, creating clear visual images in power points, preparation and rehearsal to overcome nervousness, strategies for answering specific professional interview questions, communication and collaboration within a group, and analyzing the communication of others.  Compare your skills prior to taking this course.  What, specifically, has changed in your professional presentation and communication skills? Moving forward, what areas do you feel you need to improve and how will you do so? Consider time management, practice and rehearsal, researching and analysis, outlining, structuring, accessing and using models for guidance, following directions and identifying areas of evaluation on grading sheets.  Feel free to formulate and create a thesis of your own that reflects upon your learning and acquisition of skills in this course.

TEACHER COMMENTS
VIDEO 1:Brynn—Content was quite good, but the structure was a
bit odd. Your two final quotes seemed to be the Conclusion, but
then the speech seemed to continue into another main point.
Also, a Summary restating the main points was missing.
Presentational elements: Quite a lot of vocal fry. Breathe deeply
so you have enough air to get to the end of each sentence with a
full tone. But the main problem is you’re essentially reading this
speech. You need to look into the camera, not at your notes. This
also effects the pitch, which sounds like reading much of the time.
In fact, you sometimes sound bored with what you’re saying. This
makes the presentation seem under-rehearsed, which it probably
is. Articulation: tha(t), equipmen(t). Also, watch the framing—
there’s a lot of empty space above your head.
VIDEO 2: Content is generally quite good, except Question #3
should primarily be about what you’re doing to improve on the
weakness; and Q#$ needs to be more specific about how you
overcame the challenge, the specific steps.
In terms of presentational elements, there’s still a lot of vocal fry,
but Connection with Audience and Pitch are better, but you still
need to look at your notes less and speak more conversationally
(particularly during #2 and #5).
