Refine your personal philosophy of school counseling for your Digital Portfolio
Your personal philosophy of school counseling should have the following components:
A statement of your core beliefs about students and their ability to achieve
A statement about your view of the role of school counselors as advocates for every student
A description of a school counseling program you would establish as a future school counselor
A vision statement of 12 sentences that state your personal philosophy of school counseling
Section B
Write a reflection that includes a summary of your results of the School Counselor Competency Assessment in the Padlet you created for your Digital Portfolio. Identify an area in which you feel confident and describe the reason why you are confident in that area. Describe any experience you have had with your selected skill. Identify an area that you would like to improve. You do not need to include your completed School Counselor Competency Assessment.
