Each example has a brief narrative (1-2 paragraphs) on its relationship to class
(theories are highlighted and a specific, thoughtful, and creative connection is
made between the example and the theory). That is, connections are made that
demonstrate a substantive and accurate understanding and application of the
theory. For example, if you use a picture of ducklings following a mother duck you
might address critical periods, imprinting, attachment theory and its relationship
to the still-widespread use of human ethology in explaining the bonding process
and legal decisions surrounding parenting. You would not merely say: “Ducks
followed Lorenz and therefore this ad reminded me of Lifespan or, “There was a
baby in this ad so it reminded me of prenatal development.)
