OSU Personal Statement to Get in Pharmacy School I need to write a personal statement why I want a career in Pharmacy. I wrote two paragraph you can use some of the information but please rewrite whatever you need to.Please look at the directions. The statement needs to have 4500 character maximum. Its about 750 words and that should be a page in 1/2. Growing up I always played sports, all I ever wanted to do was play football. I was obsessed with the
game. The game allowed me to have a strong connection with my community, family and friends and
gave me an opportunity to go to college. There have been an enormous number of lives that have touch
mine. I grew up being raised by my mother, father, grandfather, coaches and teachers. My mother had a
positive influence on my education; she always made sure that I did my schoolwork. My father has
always been involved in me playing sports at a very young age. However, my grandfather is the most
influential person in my life because he raised me since the day I was born. My grandfather is retired
and he does not qualify for prescription programs. He is 90 years old takes 10-14 prescription
medication a day. I have witnessed my grandfather skip medications due to their high cost. At first I felt
powerless.
I spent my childhood in Cleveland, where I had completed my secondary education. My fascination to
science began in high school. I was playing football in order for me to be eligible for a scholarship; I need
to take full schedule, I signed up for pharmacy. I was convinced that the work of pharmacist will help me
make a huge contribution to the healthcare profession. My grandfather is the most influential person in
my life. He raised me since the day I was born. The only thing I ever heard my grandfather complain
about is the cost of prescription medicine. I have witnessed my grandfather skip medications due to the
high cost. I have always aimed to investigate the high prices, underinsured patients, and a patient who’s
out of pocket costs continue to rise. To challenge this ongoing health disparity, I decided to pursue a
Phar.D. degree to gain knowledge
