Make sure to follow these directions. ·       4 pages total, double-spaced, 12pt font ·       10 cited sources ·       Science Citation Style ·       6 sections with headers, bolded and 12pt font Sections ·       Background and Rationale: In-depth discussion of your topic, including relevant background info, your purpose and why it’s important ·       Research Approach, Questions & Hypothesis: Theoretical rationale for your research, your specific question(s) and specific hypothes(es). ·       Study System: Describe details about the ecological system you plan to work in. ·       Methods: What methods will you use to test your hypothes(es), and why. ·       Intellectual Merit: Potential to advance general knowledge and understanding of your topic (i.e. theoretical contribution) ·       Broader Impacts: Potential to contribute to specific, desired societal outcomes. Science Citation Style ·       Save a copy of your draft and convert to plain text BEFORE making final edits ·       in-text citations super-scripted (example: plants are cool1, and are quickly becoming more cool2) ·       Bibliography: Modify standard formatting to save space.
