Need help with my History question – I’m studying for my class.

Post a mid-term reflection for Units I-IV including the following:

Reading from this textbook has helped me gain a huge understanding of where our own society came from. From the beginnings of democracy and the origins of different religions, it’s very interesting to see how different events that happened so long ago shape our world today.

I also think that the readings have made history much more fun! I’ve always had a dislike for history as a subject, but I feel like that was mainly while learning of more recent history, such as the World Wars. I have found through this text that I find ancient history very interesting, and I like to learn where humans come from and how different societies developed.

Seeing how history changes and moves to the next era but has small details left over, like how the Romans used Greek philosophy, is interesting to see and kept me interested.What we also went over in each of the chapters is a direct connection to today. Roman republic and Greek democracy is what our government system is based on. Greek philosophy is ingrained into society still. My opinion definitely changed at least a little, when i would think about the past it was like the people were just simpler than now but really they had just as vibrant lives as us just in a different way.
