Managing Data Security and Privacy Concerns in a Connected World
In today’s connected world the need to protect your data is more important than ever. In the information age everyone has data that they want to keep protected, this data is often accessed through the web and our mobile devices. This paper aims to determine the best options people have to protect their data on mobile devices and through the web. Specifically, I want to determine what programs, encryptions and other measures can best aid in protecting your data. Included in this process I want to determine what methodologies work best for data protection.
I plan on using literature from scientific journals and other reputable sources to determine what resources are most effective. I then plan on trying them out and determining their overall effectiveness by purposefully exposing them to common threats on the web and seeing how well they do.
