Managing a pediatric clinic is a challenging task, especially when it comes to time utilization. As most of the activities involved in the pediatric clinic involve babies, mums with an insufficient number of nurses, it becomes difficult therefore to serve all the patients adequately within the stipulated working time. The main cause of time management challenge in the clinic is in part due to complacency of the mothers in keeping time; that is, most of the mothers tend to forget that the pediatrics department is just as professional as any other department and therefore end up connecting emotions and work. Since most of the labor force in the department tends to be sympathetic to the mothers, there is a tendency of sluggish pace of carrying out the days duties.
