Your definition essay thesis is due this unit.
3) For an example of a good definition essay, read “What Is Poverty?” on the link below. I want an extended definition, using metaphors as in the Poverty essay. I do not want to see a dictionary definition. Tell me what the dictionary does not tell me about the word you are defining.
4) Submit a thesis for your definition essay paper in the forum below.
5) To prepare for one of our assignments, read this article on Mexico’s Day of the Dead. http://www.mexonline.com/daydead.htm (Links to an external site.) Then, I want you to find your own article and write a five paragraph essay. Specific directions are in the Day of the Dead Assignment.
