Letter from Birmingham City Jail
Letter from Birmingham city jail was written by Martin Luther King, Jr. in April 16th 1963 to his fellow clergymen. He was confined in the city jail and tries to expose the kind of life in the cells and how the black men, referred to as Negros, are treated. Negros did not have any right over anything in Birmingham. He exposes all the frustrations encountered in the cell (Luther King, 4). This paper is an interpretive essay on the letter by Martin Luther King, Jr. and some secondary sources by other scholars shall be used too in this paper.
