Therefore, you will choose a concept, person, event or thing that you will teach up about. You do not need to demonstrate anything. That is for later. You can define and describe. You should turn in your outline prior to the speech upload along with your works cited page so that I can make sure you are on the right track. You should use 3 sources minimum-5 sources maximum, with a speech length of 5-7 minutes. Rely more on your own knowledge and words, not those of the sources. Every source you use must be mentioned in the body of the speech when you deliver it. So if you have a statistic, you should say something along these lines within the body of the speech:“According to Jane London in her article “What Constitutes Community Service”….Check out the sample topics in the module. You can choose something from there. Remember that your topic and outline must be approved by me. In order to make this a more academic speech, you should pick a topic that is new to the audience and showcases your expertise. In other words, do not pick something that is common knowledge, meant for a young audience or is oversimplified. You want to make sure that your speech is interesting, professional, and makes you look like an expert teacher. For example, you could define the concept of community service, what it involves and give some examples of various types of community service. Make sure to follow the checklist in module 2 as well as read and follow the articles contained in the module.
