In order to complete this task efficiently (and to be sure the content of your presentation is appropriate) you must first submit a video of your presentation to the school board for review. In order to be approved, the content of your presentation must include a detailed description of the process of neural transmission, beginning with the dendrites of the presynaptic neuron, and ending with the receptors of the post synaptic neuron, including all relevant structures and their functions. Then, you will address the following items:
Remember, your audience is comprised of a group of hyperactive 8th graders who know nothing about the topic, so be brief (15-30 minutes), clear in your descriptions and define all terms! You may use your text, any videos posted in the “Watch” module, and the web as you prepare your presentation; however, web resources must end in .org, .edu or .gov (no .com). Cite your sources verbally throughout your presentation. Feel free make the video through your phone, through Screencast or any other application you are comfortable using. Be sure any attempts to upload or share the link are successful far in advance of the due date to avoid losing points for this assessment. See attached rubric for grading parameters.
