High HIV/AIDS in less developed countries
It is said that if you are not infected with HIV/AIDS, then you are affected. During the year 2001, UNAIDS and the world health organization were able to estimate that among the 40 million people living with HIV/AIDS, 95 % of them live in the developing countries. The Rtes of seroprevalence vary a great deal among these developing countries ranging from 0.005 -35.8 among one hundred grownups. It is of great essence to determine the rates of transmission in these countries in order for one to come up with the best strategies for intervention. Using the statistics that were obtained from the United Nations offices, a regression analysis was performed among these nations health, behavioral, demographic and economic to identify the relationship of these factors with HIV/AIDS. The results indicated that both religion and geographical location were independently related to the HIV/AIDS rates
