There is a great nonprofit contingent within the health care industry in the US. Doctors without Borders or Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a good example of a not for profit health care organization. The organization sends more than 2,000 volunteer medical practitioners to more than eighty countries annually to attend to victims of disasters or wars. The organization pays interest to the victims regardless of their race, religion or politics. Another example of a nonprofit health organization is Operation Smile. This organization provides reconstructive surgery and various health services to young adults and indigent children in developing countries.
