Health care is guided by laws and ethics as defined by the medical ethics. Moral principals are expected to apply sound judgments and values in the medical practices in the heath care institutions. Ethics is critical in diverse aspects in the delivery of health care, it has been noted that medical professionals works in accordance with the code of ethics, a model that controls the behaviors of the medical practitioners (Busch, 2007). It is argued that as patients visit medical centers, the patients and the medical practitioners enter into a complex social relationship; this is where ethical code of conduct comes into play in protecting the patients while at the same time protecting the medical practitioners through definite laws. This paper reflects on United States verses Gerber and Health Care Fraud.
