Go to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCAM) website. Click on Herbs at a Glance . This will give you a list of herbs and a fact sheet for the herbal product. (You may want to download all entries as an eBook for future use). Select one herb and review the fact sheet for that herb. Go to the APUS library and search for an article that discusses the safety of the selected herbal products. In particular, look for information regarding interaction with prescription or over-the-counter products. Discuss the herb, including common uses for the herb, side effects, cautions, and potential interactions. Remember to include your references in APA format.Submit an essay (at least 300 words) posting it in the Forum for feedback and comments by your classmates.
