Summary: From Chapter Nine To Twelve

Michael Brock makes the decision to work with the Homeless people in the city. In Chapter nine, Michael gets his first clients. These clients have the legal right to a better live which powerful firms and organizations such as the River Oaks deny them. Among these clients is Ruby, a mother of one son, who is suffering from effects of drug aIDiction. Mordecai’s secretary, Sofia helps Michael find a center that rehabilitates women with drug aIDiction and related problems. It is at this center that Michael meets Megan (Grisham 294).

Police go searching for the missing files in Michael’s former residential apartment.  A worried Claire calls him in the miIDle of the night to inform him about the event. At this point, he tells Mordecai of the truth behind the file from Drake & Sweeney. Information about the note, written by Hector, declaring the evicted people as legal tenants of the warehouse buoys Mordecai. With the intention of suing the law firm, the two meet Hector, who was the firm’s lawyer in control of the eviction process carried by River Oaks Company. Michael finally persuades Hector who gives them the note to prove the tenancy of the evicted clients. He is however, arrested shortly after arriving at his office.
